Shocking Scooter Libby Revelation!

I Lewis Scooter Libby. That’s all America knew of his name. Even in all the transcripts of official court documents and Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald’s court filings there was no mention of what Libby’s real name is. What does the I stand for and why did they cover it up for so long?

At last now we know.

After much digging by Rachel Sklar chronicled at The Huffington Post here
we at last have an answer to one of the most pressing secrets of the Bush administration.

After going through Fitzies notes, Wikipedia, the White House press office, and the N.Y. Times, to no avail the answer was finally revealed through Libby’s Yale yearbook. Once again the administration that breathes deceit and would cover up their bowel records if anyone took an interest had slipped somewhere. They had left one stone unturned in their attempt at hiding this revelatory truth that surely would provide the public much insight into why Republican’s are the way they are. Why they go bad.

I for one cant testify to how a name can change us. When you look around at people I think most of us have noticed how names seem to fit certain people and wondered if they tailored their choices and personalities to suit their name. Clearly the Bush administration was worried about the insights the truth about Libby’s real name would have. What the I stands for would not only mark him, but themselves. And now we know why. It was bad enough we had hints into their darkest depths what with Cheney being Dick and George being a Bush, but now we get more insight into the mindset of the neo-conservative psyche. With this startling new evidence before us we now see further into their need for overcompensation. For chickenhawk posturing. For their hate of good looking and funny liberals. Yet more layers are added to the clinical profiling of their pathologies and mental and emotional damage that surely bonds them in their paranoid delusions about the world being against them even as they have all the power and money. It’s so much easier now to see why they lie. To understand their damage. With all the evidence we already have we now add this undeniable piece of incrimination.

The I in I Scooter Libby is raised up in ignominious clarity for a nation to gasp at as more tumblers click into place. As if the nickname “Scooter,” wasn’t a deep enough look into the troubled soul of this man and the old white guys who actually used that nickname with a straight face for their entire adult lives together, we now get the I behind the initial. The I before the Scooter. The I of self which the letter stood to divert the world from has now been exposed and cast into the public eye. I meets eye, the real Libby and conservative soul is bared as their truest I’s, the selves they try so hard to cover through extremist and hardline policies has met our eyes and given us more of an up close and personal look into their secret selves, the I’s behind Scooter’s I.

And it’s name is Irve.

Irve.

Does this not explain so much?

Romney’s Hair, W’s Stepford Wife, And Satan’s Little Helper Lives On

Cheney was near a terrorist bombing and survived. I can’t overexaggerate how much this disappointed me to hear. About the surviving I mean. That and a Republican memo and W’s stupid wife, now on Ill-literates.com!

First on the Stepford Wife. Laura has already shown us just how vapid and useless her brain is but on Larry King last night she gave us more. Here’s a sampling:

And many parts of Iraq are stable now. But, of course, what we see on television is the one bombing a day that discourages everybody.

Isn’t 1 enough? These aren’t multivitamins you prick. And 34 of them have actually gone off this week. Apparently she’s as good at math as her husband is at human speech. And even when just one goes off people die. But we wouldn’t want her to get too negative would we?

When asked how she and W cope with Iraq this ivory tower whore had this exchange with the always insipid and vastly overrated interviewer, King:
We go to church. We exercise together, we watch movies together. We do all the other things that — watch baseball on television, for instance — that we both find relaxing.

KING: Do you — do you talk about it a lot?

BUSH: We talk about it a lot. I mean, we live it.

NO YOU DON”T!

People actually there live it. Their families live it to a large extent. You are living nothing but the closeted life of your mother in law who among other contemptible proofs of her isolation and disregard once said that the New Orleans refugees were living the high life getting out of all those lousy areas they come from.

I guess you have to be a bit daft and clueless to live your life alongside His Impedimence, incurious George, but just shut up. At least Hillary had a clue what was going on while being married to the President. Just be Mrs Stupid, nod and smile at foreign dignitaries at balls and galas, and then go home and masturbate to Michael Moore.
___________

Mitt Romney is running for Pres on the Republican ticket. If you ever had any doubts about how politicians are handled, how phony their campaign spiels and images are, or how conservatives don’t really believe in anything, take a look at these power point presentation slides recently leaked from the Romney campaign. They detail his campaign strategies and pitfalls to avoid that include his hair being too perfect. Quotes are from the Boston Globe

The plan, for instance, indicates that Romney will define himself in part by focusing on and highlighting enemies and adversaries, such common political targets as “jihadism,” the “Washington establishment,” and taxes, but also Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, “European-style socialism,” and, specifically, France. Even Massachusetts, where Romney has lived for almost 40 years, is listed as one of those “bogeymen,” alongside liberalism and Hollywood values.

And Romney has already been out there echoing his handlers suggestions. Even on the France thing. France? Think about that. Using the name France and referencing how screwed up they are is actually a part of his strategy to get elected. You expect Hillary and liberalism. Hack right wing classics of diversionary strategy. BUt let the France thing go already.

The tell him the talking points studies show will give him a chance and he repeats them. He’s already been at echoing some of these.

The blueprint also describes political assets and vulnerabilities of McCain and Giuliani, who lead Romney in the polls.

McCain is described as a war hero and maverick with a compelling narrative and a reputation for wit, authenticity, and straight talk. But he’s also seen as “too Washington,” “too close to [Democratic] Left,” an “uncertain, erratic, unreliable leader in uncertain times.” “Does he fit The Big Chair?” the document asks. The plan calls McCain, 70, a “mature brand” and raises questions about whether he could handle the rigors of leading the free world.

“Brand.” It’s all product and it’s about buying and selling. Not only do they say what they are supposed to say but the people who tell them what to say don’t give a damn about anything but selling product.

Giuliani is called an outside-the-Beltway rock star and truth teller who earned the nation’s trust for his leadership of New York City’s response to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. But he is described as a one-dimensional Lone Ranger whose social views — he supports abortion rights and civil unions for gay couples — could destroy the “GOP brand.” “We can’t disqualify Dems like Hillary on social issues ever again” if Giuliani is the nominee, the document states.

The plan also touches on what it calls Giuliani’s ethical issues, including his relationship with Bernard Kerik , former New York police commissioner who withdrew from consideration to become US homeland security secretary amid allegations of improprieties. It raises Giuliani’s “personal political liabilities,” an apparent reference to his three marriages and bitter public divorce from his second wife, Donna Hanover.

There’s that brand word again. And notice how “truth teller,” almost sounds like a curse word coming from these guys?

It is clear that Romney’s campaign operatives plan to make sure that voters are familiar with the perceived weaknesses of McCain and Giuliani and conduct opposition research on the candidates. But the campaign, according to the blueprint, also wants to avoid attacking either man too directly or harshly, in part because Romney wants their supporters to ultimately shift to him. At a campaign stop in New Hampshire last week, he called McCain and Giuliani friends and national heroes.

Even when they’re nice it’s calculated.

Enmity toward France, where Romney did his Mormon mission during college, is a recurring theme of the document. The European Union, it says at one point, wants to “drag America down to Europe’s standards,” adding: “That’s where Hillary and Dems would take us. Hillary = France.” The plan even envisions “First, not France” bumper stickers.

Hillary = France? Did Laura Bush do these calculations?

But this is my favorite part of this Republican’s strategy to succeed Bush:

Like every Republican in the race, Romney faces the delicate task of how to talk about President Bush, whom the country gives low job-approval ratings .

But the plan lists two ways Romney can set himself apart from Bush. The first says, simply, “Intelligence.”

That’s pretty funny right there.

_______________

Huffington Post. Cheney made an unscheduled visit to military base in Afghanistan. And the Taliban tried to blow it up. Reportedly, at least according to the Taliban whom on a Web site used by militants said “a mujahid … carried out a suicide attack in front of the second gate of the Bagram Air Base. … The target was Bush’s vice president, Dick Cheney.”

“We knew that Dick Cheney would be staying inside the base.” “The attacker was trying to reach Cheney.”

Makes me kind of want to go all John Walker Lindh.

Say what you want about the Taliban: They’re harsh on women, controlled by a hateful religion, have bad hygiene, whatever. But these guys know how to choose a Vice Presidential target to try and kill. If only they were better at it.

I’m not kidding.

When I heard this I jumped out of my seat waving my arm out of frustration because someone got close but failed. But I should have known. He’s immortal. It’s part of his deal with The Lord Of Lies. But it’s unfair to tease me this way.

DAMN YOU TALIBAN!

How you tease.

Cheney said they tried to blow him up because, “I think they clearly try to find ways to question the authority of the central government.”

I think he’s wrong here. I think they want to find ways to blow Dick Cheney up. They are not alone and I think in this shared common ground perhaps many Americans who would also like to blow Dick Cheney up and the Taliban can come together. We have this bond now. They’ve been humanized just a bit and that’s the first step towards working out your shit with people.

They didn’t actually come that close but they did kill a bunch of other people Just how many is under dispute. Afghani officials say 23 people were killed, including 20 Afghan workers at the base. Another 20 people were injured, they said.

NATO’s ISAF said initial reports were that three people were killed, including a U.S. soldier, an American contractor and a South Korean soldier.

AP reporters at the scene saw 12 bodies.

A Major there noted that Cheney’s overnight stay occurred only after a meeting with Karzai was canceled because of bad weather and that the Taliban couldn’t have been targeting Cheney. “The vice president wasn’t even supposed to be here overnight, so this would have been a surprise to everybody.”

If had been worse for Dick do you think he would have pulled a Dante and been all, “I wasn’t even supposed to be here today?”

By the by: When Bush was told the first thing he asked was how Cheney was. This according to Tony Snow. Snow did not say whether or not Bush expressed interest in anyone else dying.

The J.C. Trinity

J.C. as in James Cameron, and Jesus Christ. Cameron claims to have found Jesus tomb along with those of his family and son. The other J.C.? John Connor, as in can he go back in time to stop Cameron before killing his career or destroying Christianity?

James Cameron is making a documentary reporting to offer evidence that tombs uncovered near Jerusalem in 1980 are indeed those of Jesus and his family. They include a son’s casket supposedly reading “Judah Son of Jesus,” along with the two Mary’s of note, the cuckold Joseph, and more.

Not sure how I feel about this. Cameron is taking alot of heat from both Christians and non-Christians. Alot of people seem to be collectively cringing over this as if Cameron has the C word in front of someone whose awaiting biopsy results.

For me I guess it depends on what his overall point is and what kind of proof he offers. On the surface this would seem to be an attempt at the debunking of Christian myth such as that dealing with the resurrection and Jesus’s lack of fornicating with mere humans. I’m all on board for that kind of thing. Debunking all that crap I mean. Not fornicating with humans. Humans are dirty and squirt fluids. I prefer to fornicate with cherubim.

Anyway alot of people are already getting their cossacks into a bunch because of Cameron’s temerity and hubris but that plays into the whole problem with religion for me. OK not the whole problem. Religion has many problems. But one of them is that they are the ones of great temerity and hubris, not to mention terrible and wanton arrogance. But they’ve been at it so long and have been in a position of power and privilege for so long it is considered hubris to oppose them and they keep getting away with calling those of us who call them on their fantastical ravings arrogant. It is no different than any other entrenched institution lashing back no matter how right or wrong they are. It’s not far off the whole right wing approach to debate. Just call the enemy what you yourself practice so you steal truth and deligitimize the criticism.

No wonder Christianity and this generation of Republicans have been so intertwined and made such perfectly matched bedfellows despite all the pragmatic reasons for them not to be. Neither party is pragmatic. Pragmatism is one of the founding principles this country was built on. Probably more so than on religion. But both neo-cons and the religious are about passions and truthiness. It’s ego gratification to put their passions and loose associations with truth and facts on a higher ground. Build it and they will come. And once they’re there they’ll look up to you and play along because you’re making it easy on them.

Taking on religion has been blasphemous for a long, long time. It is sacrosanct and it does not deserve to be merely because so many people believe it. I’m not of the mind that people deserve respect no matter what. We go around trying so hard to respect people’s beliefs as if their beliefs were cancer. That or some hard won, battled for, spilled blood for, amazing achievement of human intelligence, fortitude, and courage.

It is none of those things. It is the well-worn path. The one most taken. And its tenets and dogma require only slightly more effort to encompass than the automatic respectability and honor it affords. People deserve respect for what they do not for what they believe. It absolutely floors me when I see the media bend over backwards to cater to people for what they believe while nothing else is sacred to them. The priorities are out of whack. If what someone believes can’t stand some scrutiny it should be the least respected thing about that person. Respect their humanity, their rights, their job, even their pets. But what people believe needs to be out there with a big red target and may the beliefs that stand up to scrutiny win.

But I doubt this Cameron Jesus tomb thing is going to accomplish any of that. What DNA testing can really prove something like this? Without DNA from known living relatives to compare it to I’m not sure how Cameron can make a real argument. i know there is more that will be used from other disciplines including archeology but without the forensics this is just going to create alot of anger and nastiness. And there are many noted scientists and archeologists already debunking Cameron’s proofs. The translation of the Jesus tomb has been called into question as has other information. And this is the only kind of thing that should matter in the debate. The only thing that the media should look. But of course it will be mostly about the bible stories as if that and the numerous people who believe it constitute proof unto themselves.

So now due to the limited ability of media and masses to hold to contrary thoughts in their heads at once or recognize that just because A isn’t equal to B or C that doesn’t mean that A isn’t equal to C, once Cameron is blown out of the water (Titanic reference), this will somehow be twisted into furthering the cause and claims of Christianity.

So if that’s waht Cameron wants he’s going to do the opposite.

And if what he wants is to show that Jesus was real (since I don’t believe there are remains they could still claim a resurrection I guess), he’s adding nothing to the discourse.

And odds are he’s going to take alot more heat if this thing gets more publicity. Much of it will be political and cut across the already deep divides separating many of us from each other. And with all the anger and protectiveness religion imbues its followers with Cameron could get himself hurt.

On the other hand if he has something I’m the first to back the truth no matter who it offends or upsets. Some say that it’s not worth trying to take faith from people as if faith is a thing itself. I don’t see it that way. Faith is a word used to cover ones ignorance. It has been a tool used to pry open doors to atrocities and to hide behind. But the early indicators is that Cameron and his team are stretching things to get Jesus and his family out of the evidence at hand. If so then Cameron should just let a sleeping dog lie and not be yet another to give time and energy to an unworthy focus thereby making more of a man than he was and thusly elevating him yet further above the failure he and his followers really were and are.

Where’s John Connor and his Terminator when we need them.

The Prince And The Obama Press.

In another example of the Brits being better than us Prince Harry is going to Iraq. He’s following in the tradition of his father and grandfather who served in similar capacity. This differs from our tradion of chickenhawk pieces of shite like Cheney, one of a long line of warmongers using the military to further their political agendas while they and their families evade service.

Harry probably won’t see major action but he is a Troop Commander and has trained to command 11 soldiers and four Scimitar tanks so I don’t think he’ll be hiding in a bunker either.

This comes on the heels of Britain announcing a drawdown of troops leading to getting out in 2008. Latvia and some of other smaller countries like poland are following suit. Kindasleezy Rice said this was a sign of how good things were going in Iraq.

You know? That they felt they could leave now. Just not enough to do anymore what with the end of civil war and sectarian violence, the lack of ethnic cleansing, the draught between soldiers dying, the autonomous Iraqi police force running so efficiently, and the fully functioning democracy.

Nothing to see here people.

I bet she tells boyfriends she’s never masturbated too.

to see a compilation of Faux News propaganda attempt to get an early start at undermining and mischaracterizing Obama. They’ve been going on about such things as his middle name being Hussein, his smoking cigerettes, and his time in Muslim school which they exaggerated.

I think maybe they’re a wee bit scared.

But they are laying off Hillary who herself seems more focused on criticizing Obama than the Bush administration or war. Besides this making her more dead to me than she was, and I think ultimately hurting her already doomed campaign, I think this is because Faux feels the same way I do about her chances. They want her clearing the Democratic field because like me, despite her overwhelming lead in the polls, Faux has gotten one thing right. Hillary Clinton has a snowballs chance in Dick Cheney’s office of getting anywhere near the White House ever again.

Unlike me I don’t think they believe she will be decimated in the Primaries. No one believes that. She has a huge lead in the polls I hear. Clear frontrunner. Obama is the only one with a shot and he’s still far behind if gaining.

Forget all that. She will barely get out of Iowa and N Hampshire a year from now. I’m probably going to be wrong about this but I’m sticking to it. Her campaign is an illusion.

And it seems Hollywood is very torn between her and their new wonderboy Barack. All this glitterati attention he’s been getting lately might actually hurt rhim. He’d better cut down on the gala fundraisers and hanging out with Spielberg and Aniston. Or Steviffer. Remember there are alot of loony hypocrits in the South and Midwest who hate Hollywood and all it represents even as they go see its mostly lousy movies and mimic fashions and trends hollywood advertises. So do the rest of us but we don’t then run around giving them the evil eye because they’re cock blocking Jesus.

But accept for the Hollywood stuff all this does kind of make me want to root for the guy. Even CNN pulled that Osama instead of Obama thing. So alot of people are scared of him. Of course that could mean he’ll wind up like MLK or Bobby Kennedy if he does get the nomination and looks like he could win.

But even that could be a nice wake up call for this country that sooner or later will get its reason to do as LBJ once feared they would and jump the fences and lynch their President.

But check out the link above. Amazing and important issues raised there like “would you vote for a smoker?” And Faux News is the self imposed “Home of the 2008 election,” as the disgusting puss brained blonde on the video points out at least twice.

2008 And Operation Clean Up Has Begun

Hillary’s running. Obama’s running. McCain’s losing ground. As far as we know Jeb Bush isn’t running. Ladies and gentlemen the race to lead us into the post Bush years, or OPeration Cleanup as they will surely come to be known, is on.

My choice remains Al Gore.

I cast my signature for Gore using the link in Angry Bob’s post somewhere down below this one. Do I think it will matter?

I doubt it.

Do I think he will run?

Probably not.

Would he win if hhe does?

I think so.

But I hold out hope he will go for it. There is this upswelling of support for the Goremeister. If he has the slightest inclination to run perhaps stuff like that which I signed will be part of the impetus. Gore has alot going for him. For one thing he’s already proven he can win a national election for President.

Maybe he didn’t do so well at defending it once the wolves tore the electoral process to shreds and conducted a coup de tat. But he won, if barely. And now we’ve got 8 years proving he was right about pretty much everything.

Unlike Hillary and Obama, Gore was outspoken against going into Iraq from the beginning. He predicted the chaos, quagmire and ciivil war that would follow. Clinton is going to have a hard time playing her equivocating games when it comes to this issue just as the retarded idiot John Kerry did.

Hillary is too polarizing and I think we’re tired of polarization. We’ve gone from a Bush to a Clinton and back to a Bush in the White House. Do we really want to keep swinging back and forth between these two families of our aristocratic divide?

I don’t think so. I’ll say it right here, right now. Hillary Clinton will never be President of the United States.

Never.

She has been posted as the frontrunner. All this does is confirm to me how little those pundits who cover this stuff really know. I’ll say this too: Not only will Hillary never be President, not only does she have no chance, but she has little to no chance of even getting the Democratic nomination. That’s right. The pundits frontrunner is a gimp and as we’ll see in a year or so, never had a chance. I neither like nor dislike Hillary even after declaring her dead to me a year or so ago as she started currying more favor with the kind of people i don’t respect and whom I suspect strongly she doesn’t respect either. But I suspect that lack of respect and phoniness will come through. It already has. Her at home internet announcement of her candidacy was so ridiculously artificial in its attempt to be warm and inviting as opposed to the cold and calculating Hillary image many have, it was like watching that T.V. hearth fire they used to play around Christmas. A whole lot of fire giving off no real warmth.

She’s a smart woman and I think a mostly well intentiioned one despite her sellouts. But I think this purported frontrunner is going belly up big time and rather quickly once the primary season begins. It sounds like an outlandish prediction at the moment but I’m sticking to it.

As for Obama I think the lack of experience will deter alot of people. But I do think he has a chance to be President someday. I doubt it will be 2008 though. Right now I’d give Bill Richardson more of a shot. Joe Biden, Tom Vilsack, John Edwards and a couple of others are in also. At this point I’d actually make Edwards my front runner if not my choice. I suppose if Gore doesn’t get in I could see throwing the much anticipated ill-literates endorsement Edwards way (at least my third of it).

Wesley Clark has a chance with me if not the rest of America as well. I’m not sure if he’s in yet or not. I do like Richardson though and right now would have to pull for him over Edwards though again I think Edwards has the edge and should be the favorite.

As for the Republicans Chuck Hagel is emerging due to his continued criticism of the war despite being very conservative and in lockstep with the administration on most other issues. McCain did horribly in recent polling in Iowa and New Hamp which are the two first and usually formative primary states a year from now. It seems I’m not the only one put off by his recent courting of the same fundamentalist base he used to make fun of as well as his pro Iraq stance and particularly a leading position in the escalation strategy. Plus he’s lying about it now. He had said he was calling for 20,000 more troops. Alot of people believed he did so because he didn’t think it would happen and he could be in a position to say i told you so or champion the road not taken as things continue to inevitably fail and still not contradict his original pro war vote. Then when Bush called for 20,000 more troops McCain started claiming we really need more like 50,000.

I used to respect McCain but included him in that same dead to me sentence I handed out for Hillary. For many of the same reasons.

But i still think he’d trounce Hillary if she got that far, which as I said, I don’t think she can. But I remain hopeful the Gorester will get back into things. He’s probably the only Democrat out there who could draw more funding for a campaign than Hillary. He was the only guy of note with the foresight to support Howard Dean from the getgo and he’d likely draw on Dean’s grassroots support and fundraising methods to go along with the built in support he’d already have.

He is nominated for an Oscar. I’m unsure of whether that will hurt him or not. I would like to see a Gore acceptance speech though my guess is that would be done by the Director and that Gore may not even be there. But with global warming becoming more and more of an issue and becoming more accepted to the point where even Bush has had no choice but to start copping to it, Gore stands as the perfect guy to represent on this growing issue. He’s been at the forefront of it for a long time and no one can question his expertise or committment to the issue. Damn it I’ll say it! He invented global warming. Yeah I wish he would have done more for the issue while serving as V.P. Yeah I’m not crazy about alot that he and Clinton did including their pro Nafta-corporate America positions. But the guy has the ability to bend to the facts and I think he’d see where some past policies have hurt us and need alteration.

And as far as the global warming thing goes the fight on this and other regulatory issues may come even more to the forefront positioning Gore as even more of a stalwart figure of defense. Bush just issued an executive order or directive naming political appointees to oversee regulatory agencies. This is seen as an attempt to gain more control of agencies like the EPA and OSHA and keep them from doing anything to hurt corporations who of course were publically jubilant after Bush’s announcement. This is combined with a House investigation right now led by Henry Waxman that has stated that there is evidence the administration has falsified and deliberately confused the debate on global warming and other science issues. They’re also withholding documented evidence on this topic though many scientists are on record saying their reports were altered to change the message or that they were forced to delete incriminating text.

And if we can get Gore in he can add the way-back machine to his list of inventions. Many of us want to erase the past few years and live the history we should have had. Of course what’s done is done. But installing the guy who should have won in 2000 and sent W into obscurity as he deserved sends a message to the world that we screwed up, we’re sorry, we’ll make things right again, our bad; but we we’re mislead by bad apples who are gone now. Forgive us.

And Gore really is a bright guy. Perhaps as smart as Bill Clinton. And man wouldn’t it be nice to have a President who can carry on a conversation and doesn’t speak with his mouth full when in a room full of foreign dignitaries and world leaders?

And by the way though I joke about it Gore never said he invented the internet or fiber optic cables. This is another case of right-wingers exploiting and twisting what he really said to make him seem like an idiot and the media willingly going along with it because it was easier than fact checking and more interesting to talk about than the truth.

I do question whether Gore could remain as cool and interesting outside of political office and campaigning as he has. I think he’s learned his lesson not to let himself be controlled and spun so much the real Gore doesn’t come through. But odds are he won’t have the temerity to run without handlers of some sort. And can he be the guy we know and love when the pressure to get votes is on or will he go all stiff and wooden again despite himself?

If he doesn’t run I could get into an Obama campaign. i have some issues with him I won’t get into here, but I like the guy and I’d like to have a black President. It could be as close to David Palmer as I’ll ever get. And I think we will have a black President before a female.

I’d like a female President too. I just don’t think there are any viable candidates out there for the role anytime soon. America may also be waiting for breakthrough hormonal medications before committing the country to a woman. This may be a gross and unfair prejudice but let’s face it very few men trust in most women’s emotional stability or toughness to lead the world. Women are still are our mothers and girlfriends and most men don’t want to be led by their mom’s anymore or trusting of their girlfriends. While I could see southern whites voting for a black man under certain circumstances I don’t think they or many black men would vote for a woman. Every black man in the south would vote for an Obama so even if the whites still a bit racist wouldn’t you’d have a horse race. Neither gets behind a woman in my opinion.

And no one outside of Hollywood and N.Y. will vote for Hillary in particular .I do think Hillary could do an ok job at this. She’s old enough and less sexual enough that those issues may have waned for her. She’s an intellectual who seems pragmatic and fact based. She’s got a set.

But there is no way she gets the chance.

The Emperor Speaks

[image:221:l] Not surprisingly Dick Cheney has again revealed himself as a detached, arrogant dick of Mobian proportions.

From Huffington Post

Satan’s gruff handmaiden and partner in inconceivable moral indecencies was on with the Wolfman on CNN and responded to criticism, indeed the thought of anyone even criticizing him regardless of content, thusly.

Wolfy stated and asked the following?

Here’s what Jim Webb, senator from Virginia said in the Democratic response last night — he said, “The president took us into this war recklessly. We are now, as a nation, held hostage to the predictable and predicted disarray that has followed.”

And it’s not just Jim Webb; it’s some of your good Republican friends in the Senate and the House are now seriously questioning your credibility, because of the blunders and the failures. Gordon Smith…

CHENEY: Wolf, Wolf, I simply don’t accept the premise of your question. I just think it’s hogwash.

He doesn’t accept the premise of the question therefore he doesn’t have to engage in rational defense, of which he knows he can’t win. Plus in the mind of this elitist, ceo sodomizing, half human-half avatar of unpronouncable evil of lore hybrid, crticism is just hogwash. Forget the content, and definitely forget a reasoned response. he doesn’t have to have reasons. He’s Vice president with a capitol V for vice and a master of treachery and deceipt. It’s what he does. It’s who he is. Don’t question him.

On not finding Bin Laden he had this to say. “Well, he’s — obviously, he’s well hidden. We’ve been looking for him for some time…he’s not putting out videos, the way he did oftentimes in the past.”

So if he were say a porn star we’d have him? Or maybe getting airplay on VH1? Oooh he’s hiding. The most advanced technological and surveillence backbone any nation has ever possessed just can’t deal with a man playing hiding and seek. Oh yeah and we were more concerned with oil in Iraq. Fuck 9-11.

Some other nuggets of pathological evil from Satan’s better half.

CHENEY: We have successfully defended the country for over five years against any further attack. They’ve tried, we know, repeatedly — the president talked about it last night in his speech.

Then of course it’s true. Just like when in last years speech Bush said we’d never raise troop levels in Iraq.

We know they tried last summer to capture airliners coming out of the UK and to blow them up over the United States or over the Atlantic. There have been numerous attacks have been disrupted.

Yeah but not by us or our half-assed Homeland Security dept. And of course there’s no proof of most of the other claims of thwarted attacks.

If you had asked, shortly after 9/11, what the odds were that we could go better than five years without another attack on the homeland, I don’t think anybody would have been willing to take that bet.

Really? Considering there had been only 1 other, both at the WTC, in hundreds of years, I think I woulld have taken that bet. Actually I predicted we’d seen the last of it in America for at least a few years right after 9-11 when everyone was panicking and letting Cheney run rampant over civil liberties and Iraq.

On Hussein:

CHENEY: He had corrupted the entire effort to try to keep him contained. He was bribing senior officials of other governments. The Oil-for-Food Program had been totally undermined. And he had, in fact, produced and used weapons of mass destruction previously, and he retained the capability to produce that kind of stuff in the future.

Only when he had English and American help. But let’s forget that and make sure it doesn’t come up in his trial by not trying him for most of what he did since it would embarrass us and our chief ally.

BLITZER: How worried are you of this nightmare scenario, that the U.S. is building up this Shiite-dominated Iraqi government with an enormous amount of military equipment, sophisticated training, and then in the end, they’re going to turn against the United States?

CHENEY: Wolf, that’s not going to happen. The problem is, you’ve got –

BLITZER: They’re — warming up to Iran and Syria right now.

CHENEY: Wolf, you can come up with all kinds of what-ifs; you’ve got to be deal with the reality on the ground. The reality on the ground is, we’ve made major progress. We’ve still got a lot of work to do. There’s a lot of provinces in Iraq that are relatively quiet.

If they dealt with reality on the ground this wouldn’t be happening because it was they who didn’t listen to all the what-ifs to begin with.

But the biggest problem we face right now, is the danger than the United States will validate the terrorist’s strategy, that in fact what will happen here, with all of the debate over whether or not we ought to stay in Iraq, where the pressure is from some quarters to get out of Iraq, if we were to do that, we would simply validate the terrorist’s strategy, that says the Americans will not stay to complete the task –

Again, it’s the weak-kneed liberals fault if we fail. Just like in Vietnam. Amazing how that always works that way.

CHENEY: That we don’t have the stomach for the fight. That’s the biggest threat.

Oh my fucking god!

BLITZER: Do you think Hillary Clinton would make a good president?

CHENEY: No, I don’t.

BLITZER: Why?

CHENEY: Because she’s a Democrat.

You’re the Socrates of our time Dick. What a reasoned debate.

On John McCain:

BLITZER: He said, the other day — he said, “The president listens too much to the vice president. Of course, the president bears the ultimate responsibility, but he’s been very badly served by both the vice president and, most of all, the secretary of Defense.” That was John McCain.

CHENEY: So?

Touche Dick. Touche.

BLITZER: He said, about the former Defense secretary, “Rumsfeld will go down in history, along with NcNamara, as one of the worst secretaries of Defense –”

CHENEY: I just fundamentally disagree. You heard my speech, when Don retired. I think he’s done a superb job.

You heard me. I said he was good. Therefor he’s good. I’m the Vice president. I’m filthy rich. Who are the critics to criticize me. If I say something that should be the end of it.

BLITZER: You know, we’re out of time, but a couple of issues I want to raise with you: your daughter, Mary. She’s pregnant. All of us are happy she’s going to have a baby. You’re going to have another grandchild. Some of the — some critics are suggesting — for example, a statement from someone representing Focus on the Family, “Mary Cheney’s pregnancy raises the question of what’s best for children. Just because it’s possible to conceive a child outside of the relationship of a married mother and father doesn’t mean that it’s best for the child.” Do you want to respond to that?

CHENEY: No.

BLITZER: She’s, obviously, a good daughter –

CHENEY: I’m delighted I’m about to have a sixth grandchild, Wolf.

And obviously I think the world of both my daughters and all of my grandchildren. And I think, frankly, you’re out of line with that question.

BLITZER: I think all of us appreciate –

CHENEY: I think you’re out of line.

BLITZER: We like your daughters. Believe me, I’m very sympathetic to Liz and to Mary. I like them both. That was a question that’s come up, and it’s a responsible, fair question.

CHENEY: I just fundamentally disagree with you

In other words it’s not something he can reconcile with his base so like anything else he can’t handle talking rationally about, most things that is, he doesn’t want to talk about it. He’ll continue to use that base who do nothing but talk about it though when it comes to other people and galvanizes right wing voters.

Let’s wind up with the soft stuff (ph)– Nancy Pelosi. What was it like sitting with her last night as opposed to Dennis Hastert?

CHENEY: I prefer Dennis Hastert, obviously. I like having a fellow Republican in the Speaker’s chair. Nancy’s now the speaker of the House. We had a very pleasant evening.

Translation: I hate her for being different and I raped her until she bled and begged for mercy. If she talks we’ll kill her children.

Democrats Win House! Still Pussies And Corporate Whores!

[image:199:l] Ok the polls held and the Nazi Party loses control of the House of Reps. The Senate is still in question. Democrats are already acting like assholes.

Tester is kicking ass in Montana for Senate while Webb is edging Macaca boy George Allen in Virginia. If they hold and the Dems can get Missouri Dems get Senate too. That would be way cool. Doubtful though.

One thing we know is that Nancy Pelosi will be the first female Speaker Of The House. That means we are one supreme moment of justice taking Bush and Cheney out in a wonderful shooting accident or something from having a woman President. I guess this marks progress since I don’t think Hillary has a quails chance on a Cheney hunt of winning in 08. Pelosi is a favorite whipping person of Republicans and the right wing media in general so I’m happy they aren’t happy.

And I mostly like her. After reading her blog entry linked here on Huffington Post I also want to hit that.

But we’re already hearing these Democratic twits who didn’t show an ounce of resolve or guts when it mattered a few years ago, go on and on in Bush-like tones about this mandate from the people.

It wasn’t a mandate or referendum in 2000 or 2004 and it’s not now. Yes the corrupt Congress they’ve controlled is an issue but not many people are voting with confidence in Democratic values or ethics. They’re voting against the current administrations lack thereof. It’s a somewhat natural and historically consistent reaction to electoral cycles that we’ve seen on the Presidential level this decade.

So just shut up and govern reasonably and start doing your jobs.

I said last year that even if they won they’d back off impeachment and we’re already hearing that it won’t be an issue with this Democratic House. Hiding behind the usual guises of lack of national stomach for such a thing these shills for big business are just afraid to cross the CEO’s and media power structure that ultimately control them as well as the Republicans.

I’m glad they won the House. But all it’s doing is restoring a little of the natural balance our country was supposed to have and that we were in gross historical mistep in operating under the past few years. Hopefully there will be some follow up and the national debate will get refreshed a bit. But there will be no new legislation. Maybe some hearings on things like stem cells. But the Republicnas still have the hammer and Democrats are still politicians and have alot to prove before I believe all this talk about the most ethical Congress ever.

And what the frak is wrong with Connecticut? How do they reelect Lieberman after everything? Did Karl Rove personally supply ever male voter with hot hooker action?

I guess I won’t be happy without Bush and Cheney facing execution for treason, and yes though i don’t believe in capitol punishment I would cheer their painful and gruesome deaths because I do believe in irony. And I believe maybe you make exceptions for the worst of our criminals and killers. Bush and Cheney certainly qualify. They are Jeffrey Dahmer thousands and thousands, if not millions of times over when you consider the possible long term consequences of their selfish and ruthless acts of greed and aggression.

But at least they lost something during this awful 8 year reign that never should have happened. And that putrid scum filled cum bubble Rick Santorum lost in Pennsylvania. THat’s sweet. Couldn’t have happened to a bigger piece of shit. Hopefully it’s the beginning of a trend. But with Democrats still arguing amongst themselves about long term strategies and platforms, with them debating whether courting the Christian right and moving even more beyond center to get an audience that would be just as happy living in fuedal times with it’s god given heirarchies and static social norms and categories, we’re still on the cusp of something. Good or bad. Don’t know. I think history has mainly moved forward and the forces of ignorance, anti-science, and superstition, keep diminishing and dying out. Some recent fundamentalist trends with a growing born again contingent and a media bent on giving them their unearned and discredited view, are worrisome. [image:200:l]

But I have a dream. I have an awesome dream.

And it involves Dick Cheney in a locked room with me and a waterboard.

And Grace Park.

It involves Grace Park so help me science.

Disconnection And Cry Babies.

[image:188:l] In an effort to destract myself from the embarrasment of the Mets pathetic albeit predictable NLCS showing here’s some political ranting I’ve been meaning to do.

Dick Cheney said the war in Iraq is going “remarkably well.” Rick Santorum compared our efforts in Iraq to the Lord Of The Rings with terrorists being the eye of Mordor and Iraq being the decoy drawing attention from Frodo and Sam making their way to Mount Doom.

Disconnect anyone?

And how about Mark Foley, Dennis Hastert and the rest of NAMPLA (North American Man Page Love Association)?

More proof that conservatives care more about fetuses than actual children or teenagers?

Or a Republican attempt to capture the heady atmosphere of the ancient Greek philosophers who appreciated the aesthetic qualities of the young male form?

Now Foley is playing the great American game of poor me trying to play the victim and whining about being sexually abused by a priest and having alcohol problems. I’m so sick of this bullshit. More and more we are a nation of crybabies who can’t stand up and take responsibility for their actions. Molested by a priest?

Get the fuck in line sissy boy.

Everybody who does anything wrong has issues in their past they could blame. You’re like 50 fracking years old. Get a handle on your shit and don’t screw with other people. Come on people like this are just weak and gutless and lack the desire to change or overcome their shit. They prefer to wallow in it and use it as an excuse to do whatever pleases them for the moment.

He’s about to tell the archdoicese of Miami the name of the guy who filled him with the holy spirit, if you know what I’m saying, thusly creating a new focus of shame to replace himself. This pussy boys attorney said, “This is all part of the healing process for Mark Foley. He thinks it’s important to go ahead and bring this information out and hope and encourage other people who have been similarly abused to go ahead and come forward.”

And we’re all about the healing process of Mark Foley the guy who has abused his political position as a Congressman to harass and exploit underage kids.

As long as you’re ok Mark.

Little prick.

The attorney also had the nerve to tell us that those who have doubted Foley’s history of being abused are going to regret it. “It’s going to be very clear in the coming days that it is a fact as opposed to any possible allegations that it was a fantasy or something made up for political purposes,” Richman said.

As if it alters what he did.

It’s just another lawyer/politician ploy to recast the story in their terms. Instead of it being about his transgressions it becomes about whether he can prove there were transgressions against him. If the priestly vestments fit we must acquit.

But it shouldn’t matter. And Hastert and the others didn’t know about his past anyway. And how do we know he wasn’t asking for it?*

I mean come on. A young boy hanging around priests? He knew the risks.*

And then the GOP hate machine tries to infer that not only is this somehow Democrats fault because the timing is just too coincidental, but also suggesting that they couldn’t deal with this appropriately because they were afraid to appear homophobic.

THEY FRACKING BASE ONE THIRD OF THEIR POLITICAL PLATFORM ON BEING GOD DAMNED HOMOPHOBIC!

Now I feel as much sympathy for the abused as anyone. I consider myself a student of the mind and its many levels and understand that we are products of our past. I’m certainly no fan of priests in general much the pigs who molest children. It’s all very sad. But any reasonably educated, mature adult has no excuse to continue the cycle of abuse, or to visit their pain on others no matter what was done. There is a point where you have to suck it up and deal with it. Get over it or put a bullet in your head. Whine about it in the night if you must. Do some hallucigenics. Overeat. Self flaggelate in the name of Jesus.

Whatever.

But keep the pain to ourself or your therapist.

Foley’s an ass and he wants our sympathy now.

He’s not getting mine because he knows better and he didn’t care until he got caught.

Of course the Foley fall out is not helping the Republican mid term efforts as we near election day. But there are alot of close races still in contention and I remain cautiously optimistic that the Dems can get a enough seats to start throwing some weight around in 07. Of course the pussies won’t move for impeachment, but maybe some more hearings of an embarrasing nature. Round up all those generals who are fed up with this administrations** incompetence. Maybe a hearing or two on the increase of disease and asthma and its environmental connections. The White House ties to Jack Abramoff. Whatever. Just put more heat on.
_______

Why the hell are people getting on Madonna’s case about adopting that kid from Malawi? Now there is talk of legal action as social service and other agencies question the legality of the adoption. They are concerned she didn’t go through all the normal steps and that her and her hubby Guy Ritchie weren’t evaluated to see wheather or not they’d be able to proved a suitable home.

Yeah let me see if I understand this. They’re not sure Madonna can provide a better, safer home than an orphanage in Africa?

Michael Jackson could do better by this boy than he’d likely get staying where he was. His own fatehr knew that and wholeheartedly supported the move. If I have any criticism it’s in leaving the dad behind.

Set him up in London. Let him be in the picture with the agreement you and the director nobody cares about do the primary childrearing. Seems kind of cruel to use his spawn and let him wallow in misery.

A Timeline Of Their Treasonous Lies

A Chronology of lies for the informationally, logically, and factually impaired is available as part of an interactive timeline on Mother Jones

It starts in 1990 with the Gulf War and goes up to the start of the Iraq invasion. I haven’t had a chance to view the whole thing but it appears it’s all there. Every irrefutable lie, contradiction, and agenda laced decision and policy. For those wanting an at a glance overview of what these evil bastards have done this is a nice place to get it. Go from point A to Z and feel the outrage.

And it’s all documented facts.

On the subject of Bush. We know he’s not terribly bright but I couldn’t resist throwing another little example of this out there that I just stumbled across.

Bush was chiding Kim Jong II over the nuke testing. In discussing his approach to ahndling the situation he had the following to say:

“…That is the best strategy to solve the problem. I mean, I – you – one has a stronger hand when there’s more people playing your same cards.”

I’m no Texas Hold Em champ but that’s not how you win at poker. In fact I’ve confirmed you usually want to do the exact opposite. HAve opponents playing different cards.

But this is the opposite president after all.

ABC Goes On Notice

Disney and ABC are putting on a sham of a 9-11 documentary Sunday and Monday that appears to be a clear cut partisan propaganda piece meant to alter the national mood heading into the midterm elections.

Basically this thing, called The Path to 9-11 blames 9-11 on Bill Clinton, the guy whose administrations warnings about Bin Laden during the transfer of power went unheeded by the Bushies. It makes assertions already denied by guys like Rickard Clarke who were actually present during events that appear to be fabricated. It was written by a staunch conservative who is a bud of Rush Limbaugh named Cyrus Nowrasteh. This guy has called Michael Moore “an out of control socialist weasel,” and participated on a panel last year called, “Rebels With a Cause: How Conservatives Can Lead Hollywood’s Next Paradigm Shift.” ThinkProgress.org

The director has backed off, he’s sayiing it’s not really a documentary. Nowrasteh himself went on the programs blogsite and said it wasn’t a documentary and basically admitted using dramatic license. That site had to be removed due to all the people posting and controverting the programs lies with the real information. But ABC is still putting this on the air and presenting it as news. Most who watch it will think this is a documentary and will assume it has the credibility of the ABC News department such as it is. What’s more this is billed as being based on the 9-11 Commission’s report. This despite making assertions nowhere in the report and contradicting other parts of said report.

What’s more is that ABC is distributing this thing to schools and encouraging teachers to show it to kids in an effort to redefine history for the next generation. ABC has contracted with the comapny Scholastic to distribute online study guides. They are also allowing free downloads of it from Apple’s iTunes Music Store.

And when slight changes were ordered to appease critics this weekend it generated an e mail to right wing blogger Hugh Hewitt assuring him and his people that nothing noticable has changed and that, “The message of the Clinton Admin failures remains fully intact.” Hewitt went on to assure his readers that the program will still accomplish its intended task because, “The blame on the Clinton team is in the DNA of the project and could not be eradicated without pulling the entire show.”

As further proof of the miniseries deception Roger Cressey, counterterrorism official to both Clinton and Bush was on MSNBC and blasted the innacuracy as well.

It’s amazing…how much they’ve gotten wrong. They got the small stuff wrong” and “then they got the big stuff wrong.” He added that a scene where the Clinton administration passes on a surefire opportunity to take out bin Laden is “something straight out of Disney and fantasyland. It’s factually wrong. And that’s shameful.” ThinkProgress.org

That scene is among the ones Clarke, counterterrorism expert and chief advisor to Clinton and both Bushes, disputes.

ABC has made the right-wing blogosphere aware of details and allowed select people like Limbaugh to preview it but wont allow Clinton or any of his cabinet such as Madeleine Albright to see it, despite their being implicated and requesting copies.

Oh yeah and Fox News is promoting it.

Not only is ABC participating in an attempt to brainwash kids just starting to learn the facts about the events of 5 years ago and create another generation of idiots, they are also trying to alter the Democratic momentum heading into November’s elections. Though the mainstream media has been in lockstep with this administration since the beginning this is a remarkable case of blatant and Orwellian attempts at brainwashing the public and aiding a current administration.

I’ve written here about the Rove led tactics that play on people’s fears, especially at election time, and this psuedo documentary is another attempts at making sure that voters go into the booths in November thinking Democrats equal danger and falling towers, and that the guys in power, who were also in power when those towers fell, are the only thing keeping us from being overrun by chaos and destruction. The methods are well documented and the effects proven. It’s worked before and when in doubt, and with nothing real or substantial to offer voters, why not return to the well until you know its run dry.

But now a major network is going out of its way to assist, spending $40 million on it as a matter of fact. Sure all the MSM are culpable in what’s happened the past 6 years starting with 2000 coup de tat. But this kind of thing is just unprecedented as far as I can remember.

ABC has made a clear choice to try and teach our youth alternate history and to at least subliminally lead voters into pulling those levers with the visions of falling skyscrapers that psychological testing has proven works in Bush’s and Republicans favor despite it being contrary to all rationality for it to do so.

And I think there is also an effort to aid this administration in continuing to curtail civil liberties and wield more and more power previously unknown to the executive branch. There’s a part of this program that blames the Washington Post for bin Laden successfully altering his tactics which the show suggests helped lead to 9-11. This was supposedly because they disclosed that we were intercepting bin Laden’s phone calls.

Sound familiar?

This propaganda seems to have been added, imo, to plant the idea in viewers minds that the press reporting of administrations tactics, in the Bushies case, illegal tactics, really do undermine the fight against terrorism.

Just like Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld have been arguing!

What other reason is there to even include this in a program about the events leading to 9-11. Not only did the period of time and the satelite phone issues not have any relevence to what happened 5 years ago, but it wasn’t even the Post, it was the Washington Times, and according to Richard Benjamin, author of a book on the subject, and National Security Council member, the assertion is yet another contradiction to the 9-11 Commission report and the info about bin Laden was recounted in the Times from preexisting and established reports. Think Progress

Seems pretty obvious this was put in there to convince people that when the neo-cons complain about things like recent Washington Post and NY Times stories detailing illegal phone tapping, the usue of financial tracking of terrorists, and covert prisons, it’s because they don’t want it to lead to another 9-11 like it did the last time the media reported on counterterrorism efforts.

I am so appalled at ABC for being apart of this. They have really taken things to a whole new level with this little puppy. You think they’d air Fahrenheit 9-11? How about Orwell Rolls In His Grave? Or any of the many anti-Bush docs out there? Uh-uh. As a matter of fact:

ABC News on Sunday declared Robert Greenwald’s new documentary “Iraq for Sale: The War Profiteers” a left-wing hatchet job “produced like a political campaign.” Perspectives.com

i’m not sure I can watch ABC anymore. I’ve pretty much decided to not watch any of the new shows Iw as considering, and thankfully they no longer have Football. Of course there is still Lost. There are compromises most of us are forced into everyday. As much as I despise Fox and Murdoch I watch The Simpsons and 24. I’m sure some of the clothes I own must have been made overseas. Very possibly by kids working at ridiculously low wages. You can’t fight everything and live in this society. But you can make your stands somewhere, sometimes. As Howard Zinn said and Pearl Jam echoed, “You can’t be neutral on a moving train.”

ABC has possibly gone way beyond the pale here. At least Fox News is mostly segregated to the ghetto of ideological cable news. More people are catching on to them. The evil of Fox hasn’t extended towards its network except for lousy programming like 90210. But ABC still carries a note of normalcy and the mainstream. But Disney is reaching out and infringing on sacred territory here. If Fox and the Murdoch empire carried this thing and let their news agenda carry over to the network I’d probably be done with them. Disney and ABC have done that. I’m not telling anyone to not watch them anymore, though I encourage it and may not myself. But let them know you’re pissed off, fed up, and like Howard Beel, you’re not going to take it anymore!
